| ABATE of MINNESOTA BORDERLAND CHAPTER Once again it is time for our annual Membership Drive and Fund Raiser! This event will be held Saturday, May 9th 2009, at the Roseau Eagles. Set up will start at 5:00pm, with Chapter meeting at 6:00pm, with the party starting at 7:00 pm. This is important meeting for Borderland Chapter. We need to make some plans for the SUMMER!!! (If it ever finds us!) Are we going to have our Bash at the Barn? We need a new location, if we are. If not the Bash at the Barn, what else can we do as a chapter for our summer big event? Please bring your thoughts and ideas to the meeting. Our chapter will be picking our ditch the following Tuesday May 12th. We will be meeting at 5:00 pm, by Byfuglien Trucking, 5 miles west of Roseau. The Membership Drive and Fund Raiser will run pretty much the same as previous years. We are having games again, come and see if you are the best nail driver! What other games will the game committee come up with this year? You have to come and check it out! We are having pot luck again, this seems to work well. Everyone should bring your best dish to share. How creative can this chapter get! Can we get this the best year yet, for food? We are having the silent auction; this is a great money maker for us. Please try and get a few items to donate to this. You can get from your employee, family, favorite business, own business or donate items yourself. Anything big or small is perfect. We can use items for both the auction and door prizes. The cost of the Membership Drive and Fundraiser is only $10.00 per person; this covers the meal and door prizes. This is the best time to renew your membership. Anyone that renews that night will get their name in a drawing for a free year membership. Bring your friend to join the fun. If they become a member they get $5.00 off at the door! So spread the word, let’s make this the best Membership Drive and Fund Raiser. Please feel free to call me and let me know what you are bringing for pot luck. Also, let me know if you have any silent auction and door prize items, or suggestions for games. If you have never been to this chapter event, please come and check this out.
